Peace With God

by Tim Davidson | A Verse A Day

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

(Rom. 5:1 KJV)

To have peace with God includes having oneness, quietness, and rest in the presence of God. To be at peace with God means that all the differences between us are settled and we are restored as one again.

The Message Bible says: By entering through faith into what God has always wanted to do for us—set us right with him, make us fit for him—we have it all together with God because of our Master Jesus.

It wasn’t our idea to be right with God and have this peace. It was the heartfelt desire of the Father, who loves us, that brought such a plan to man. He then insured His success by commissioning His own Son, Jesus, to bring it to pass. He did it! We now have been put right with God through faith. We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Today’s Thought to Take With You:

I am just as if I had never sinned because of Jesus. I have God’s approval and I have peace with God through faith in my Lord Jesus.
