“And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea, and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him and to be healed of their diseases” (Luke 6:17).
This verse brings out a very important point. That is, these people came to hear the Word. Then what happened? Every single person who heard the Word got healed.
Today, too many people want the power of God to heal their body, but they don’t want the Word. One of the Greek words regarding healing is thereon which is where we get our English word “therapy.” To have therapy means the individual is involved in his own recovery.
Now, the book of Mark tells us of a familiar woman who had a reoccurring blood condition for twelve years. She would hemorrhage for a while and then it would stop, and then come back again and again. She spent all she had on doctors, but it kept getting worse.
It is worthy to note what this woman did what is described in Mark 5:27-28. First she heard that Jesus was a healer. Then she kept saying over and over, “as soon as I touch Him, I will be whole.” Now we don’t know how long she said this, but she was involved, she was doing her part and building her faith in the process.
After you hear the Word, you have to say it out of your mouth. I don’t care if you feel silly or if your head doesn’t like it. If you put the Word in you like this woman did, you will be healed. You expend the effort by saying only what the Word says about your healing.
Say those healing scriptures three times a day – that’s the minimum. Put your name in it. No sickness or disease can stand a chance when you put God’s Word on the inside of you.
It’s time we caught hold of God’s Word concerning healing, “by whose strips you were healed.” Understand this, life and death is in the power of the tongue. So put the Word in your mouth.
This is serious business. If you’re suffering with the same thing over and over again, then speak the Word over it again and again. Say this, “I am healed from the crown of my head to the soles of my feet.” Do it even when there’s nothing wrong with you. It’s good to take a booster shot of the Word.
Do your part and you’ll find out there’s no sickness that’s stronger than the healing power of God.
