“And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing” (Isa. 10:27 KJV).
Jesus Christ is the same today as He was yesterday, and He will be the same forever. If the burden-removing, yoke-destroying power was available through Jesus when He walked the earth, then that power is still available today through Jesus. In fact, the main purpose for the anointing is to break burdens and destroy yokes. And He is still in the breaking burdens and destroying yokes business.
What exactly is a burden? A burden is a load. The anointing removes loads. The scripture says that “his burden” shall be taken away. Webster’s Dictionary says the word taken means to apprehend; and the word away means to pluck away. Destroy means to demolish, to pull down, to annihilate, to put to an end.
In light of a clearer definition and description of the words, let’s read Isaiah 10:27 this way: “It should come to pass in that day that his load shall be apprehended. It shall be taken away from off his shoulder and his yoke from off his neck; and his yoke shall be demolished pulled down, annihilated, put to an end, because of the anointing.”
“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him” (Acts 10:38 KJV).
Now the anointing puts our burdens to an end because of the love of God. Jesus was healing all that where oppressed of the devil for God was with Him. It was the love of God that caused Jesus to do good and heal the sick. In fact, you could replace the name Jesus and say Love.
“How Love anointed, smeared and consecrated the love of God with the Spirit of Love with ability, abundance, and miracle power. That miracle power, that ability, is for all that are oppressed of the devil, because Love has come to put every burden to an end.”
In Acts 10:38 Jesus, the Son of Love, was involved in doing good, restoring to a sound mind, all that were burdened with unreasonable impositions, over powered and oppressed of the devil. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. He did it once, and that means He is still doing it, because He is the same, and He is love.
