“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds” (2 Cor. 10:4 NKJ).
Part Three
One of the greatest weapons we have for winning great victories is the blood of Jesus. There is prevailing power in the mention of Jesus’ blood. Revelation 12:10 says that we can overcome all evil and gain mastery over Satan by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony.
According to medical authorities, it is safe to say that Jesus had four to five quarts of blood in His body when He sacrificed His life on the cross. Jesus, born of the virgin Mary, had no earthly father’s blood in His veins because the Holy Spirit instigated His birth process.
Formed in the womb, our Lord came into the world having a blood which contained none of man’s sins, imperfections, defects, or human frailties.
Only a perfect sacrifice could accomplish our personal salvation. The sacrifice on the cross of Calvary was perfect. The shed blood was so pure that offending man and an offended God were completely reconciled.
Because of Jesus’ sinless life and death, all the powers of hell are broken. When Jesus arose from the dead. He held in His hands the keys to death, hell, and the grave. He then gave us, His disciples, authority to bind and loose, authority to cast out demons.
His blood is so powerful that to mention it in prayer is the equivalent of placing dynamite under Satan’s fortifications and blasting them to pieces. What a weapon!
