I have felt impressed by the Spirit of God to share with you a prophecy that was given in October 1987 in Charlotte, North Carolina, and I believe it is still relevant today. After I had ministered in a church service, the spirit of prophecy came upon me, and I turned and prophesied to the pastor. After I listened to this prophecy, the Lord said it was not only for that pastor, but much of it was also for all believers.
I would like to share this prophecy with you and also comment on it as the Spirit of God directs. I trust it will be a blessing to you as you read and prayerfully listen to what the Spirit of God says to you about the prophecy. I have paragraphed the prophecy so I could comment on it.
Your ministry is where it is today because you have called things that were not as though they were. And you’re still calling things. God has given you insight and you’ve seen years ahead what shall be, and it shall come to pass. In the days to come, there shall be more revelation, more understanding, and more insight.
But don’t always share everything God gives you, and you haven’t. Joseph told God’s secret, and the devil got hold of it and tried to stop it from coming to pass.
Some things I don’t want you to tell until the time, but I will reveal things to you ahead of time. For the Spirit of Truth that is within you will teach you, guide you, and lead you by your spirit and the Holy Spirit. But don’t tell things before the time, lest it discourage those who do not have the faith you have.
For you are highly developed in this area, and as you have communed with Me, I have revealed the secrets of My heart to you. But don’t lay it before everyone before the time. Oh, yes, great manifestations shall come in due time. So know that the time is near and the day is at hand when My wisdom and My knowledge shall be prevalent throughout the land.
Because you’ve stood on the Word and you’ve proclaimed the knowledge of Truth, and that knowledge has set people free, they’ll gather behind you as a multitude. And you’ll grow and expand, and the knowledge of the Lord shall fill all this land. But you’ve not yet seen what shall be.
Oh, but it shall be revealed in the days to come, because angels are out there working. They’ve listened to your words. And you’ve assigned them assignments by the words you’ve spoken that agreed with My Word. And the angels are rejoicing tonight because you’ve released them.
And the whole church will come behind you and begin to release and say the things the Word says. And they will release a multitude of the hosts of heaven to see that this city shall be ministered to by the Word of the Living God. And you’ll rejoice, and the land shall be free, for it is the knowledge of the Lord that makes men free!
Don’t Tell God’s Secrets
Notice that in the second paragraph the Holy Spirit says, “Don’t always share everything that God gives to you.”Many times what God reveals to you individually was for your benefit, and He doesn’t want the devil to get hold of it. You see, there are some things that God will reveal to you as pastors or laymen that He doesn’t want you to share with others. It is for you to pray about in the Spirit. It is for you ¾ to encourage you and to give you insight, so you will know some things that will happen in days to come.
But don’t share it with everyone unless the Spirit of God says to do so. Don’t tell God’s secrets. Jesus told many of the people when they were healed under His ministry, “Go and tell no man.” They didn’t need the pressure of others questioning them and coming against that which they had received from God. I believe that is still true to a degree today.
This happens many times when you share what God has revealed to you. Religious people will try to talk you out of it. Joseph shared the dream and the vision God gave him before the time. It was revealed for his benefit. But he told it and the devil found out about it. He shouldn’t have shared it with his family, because they didn’t understand. They did not have the revelation.
This was God’s secret. But Joseph told God’s secret, and the devil found out about it and almost killed him over it. So the Spirit of God is saying to be cautious about sharing what God reveals to you when it concerns things that are to come in your life or ministry. It may be a year or twenty years before it happens.
God’s Timing Is Important
Notice in the third paragraph the Lord says, “I don’t want you to tell until the time.” Timing is very important. If we get ahead of God and think something is going to happen in a few months, and we tell people so they will know that we knew it ahead of time, then that is a matter of pride.
God doesn’t reveal secret things to us so we can boast or brag that we already knew them. God reveals secret things to us to encourage us in our obedience. Sometimes, we may run into obstacles or circumstances that come against what God has put in our hearts. But when God has revealed something to us, we have a word to stand on in times of adversity. God’s revelation encourages us that our dreams and visions will come to pass.
This is to pastors especially: If God has given you a vision of having a church of 4,000 or 5,000 when you have only 50, and you begin to tell all that God has revealed to you, people may not understand. The board may vote you out, some may try to discourage you, and others may think you’re a flake. People around you may not be developed spiritually to that kind of faith. Because they didn’t have the vision, they don’t have the revelation you have. They may not be ready for it spiritually.
If it’s not time to tell your vision, then you may be in big trouble if you openly proclaim things your people are not spiritually in position to receive. God gave you insight so you would be encouraged and be able to pull the people together, raising their level of faith little by little, day by day, year after year, until they catch the vision. You can’t always grab people by the nape of the neck and pull them up to your level of faith. It will usually discourage them if you tell too much too quickly. Let God unfold the vision to others little by little. God will give them a glimpse of it from time to time if you’ll follow the direction of the Spirit of God.
When the whole Church begins to speak God’s Word after Him, it will release a multitude of heavenly hosts.
Notice in the fourth paragraph the Lord says, “For you are highly developed in this area, and as you have communed with Me, I have revealed the secrets of My heart to you.” Notice He says, “the secrets of My heart.” Don’t tell everyone those secrets before the time. Yes, great manifestations will come in due time. But when you broadcast your vision, and a year or ten years go by and nothing has happened, people will think you are a false prophet. They will be discouraged and think you are a flake. Then you will be under pressure to cause it to happen, and you’ll probably make a big mess out of it.
But if you will just relax and rest in the Word God gave you and follow His direction, it will happen before the devil knows about it. Remember Jesus said, “I will build my church” (Matthew 16:18). God will bring your vision to pass.
The Releasing of Angels
The sixth paragraph is so important. Notice the statement: “…because angels are out there working. They’ve listened to your words. And you’ve assigned them assignments by the words you’ve spoken that agreed with My Word. And the angels are rejoicing tonight because you’ve released them.” There are so many believers who bind their angels instead of releasing them. But the angels were released in that church, and they will gather the people behind that pastor.
I wish every pastor could grasp this statement. You release your angels by speaking in agreement with the Word of God. You can bind or release angels with your words. If you are always saying things the devil said, then the angels are bound. They will back off and fold their hands; they can’t work for you. They will have to allow things the devil has set against you to come to pass. However, if you will learn to release your angels by the spoken Word, they will rejoice and go to work on your behalf.
This last paragraph is of great significance: “The whole church will come behind you and begin to release and say the things [promises] the Word says. And they will release a multitude of the hosts of heaven to see that this city shall be ministered to by the Word of the Living God.”
When the whole Church begins to speak God’s Word after Him, it will release a multitude of heavenly hosts. Remember, Jesus said to Peter, “Do you think that I cannot now pray to my Father, and He will provide me more than twelve legions of angels [72,000 angels]?” (Matthew 26:53).
I believe the Church today has the ability through prayer, the spoken Word, and intercession to release angels and ministering spirits over a whole city, changing the course of that city. But angels by themselves cannot preach the Gospel. Angels can’t cause these things to come about unless someone on earth releases them (Matthew 16:19).
Notice Psalm 103:19 says, “The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.” Where is the kingdom? The kingdom of God is within you. The kingdom rules over all. Someone on earth must call for it. There are many things that are the will of God for the earth, but unless some believer speaks them, prophesies them, or prays, they may never come about even though it is God’s will.
Verse 20 of Psalm 103 continues, “Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.”Notice the angels hearken to the voice of God’s Word. The Hebrew word translated voice means “to call aloud, sound, proclaim.” God’s Word in book form has no sound or voice. But you can give sound and voice to that Word by proclaiming aloud what your heavenly Father said.
For instance, if you are a giver, begin to proclaim, “I have given. It is given unto me good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over. There is abundance and no lack. God has met my need according to His riches in glory.”
What you proclaim aloud gives voice to God’s Word, and the angels hearken to that word by going about to see that it comes to pass. They know that Mark 11:23 says that a man shall have whatsoever he says if he believes and doubts not in his heart; and if he believes that those things which he says will come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he says.
Angels Are Voice-Activated
It is your voice giving sound to God’s Word that releases angels or ministering spirits. Hebrews 1:14 says, “Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?” Angels are listening to what you say. When you give voice to God’s promises, you have given them an assignment. Angels are voice-activated. The sound of God’s Word coming out of your mouth releases the ministering spirits to work on your behalf concerning that promise.
In this prophecy, God was telling the pastor in North Carolina, “Don’t be discouraged. Know that I have heard the things that you said, and so have the angels.” Angels have been involved in that church, and they will continually be involved in it because of the pastor’s diligence and faithfulness to proclaim what God has said. As he continues to call things that are not, the whole church will get behind him in agreement with the Word. This will release a multitude of heavenly hosts, and they will be working unceasingly for that church. Not only will angels work for that church, but they will also do it for anyone who will release them by giving voice to God’s Word.
Some of you right now are wondering if you can do that. Yes, you can. Begin to do it now. Don’t be discouraged and don’t give up. Don’t give any place to the devil, and don’t back off from the Word of God. It’s not time to walk in fear and doubt. It’s time to lift up your voice and shout what God has said about you.
I’d like to share a Psalm the Holy Spirit once gave me: “When the dry winds of doubt and fear begin to blow, lift up your voice and declare what you know: I am redeemed. I am delivered. I am free. Fear does not come near me. I am far from oppression, for God’s Word is my confession.”
Make a decision right now to confess what you know from the Bible. Make a decision to give voice to God’s Word. Release your angels. Proclaim the Word of God over your situation. Don’t back off from the Word of God. Remember, “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions” (Psalm 107:20).
So make decisions now to be a doer of the Word, saying: “I am going to give voice to God’s Word. Regardless of the circumstances I face, I am going to say what God has said about me. I am what God says I am. I can do what God says I can do. I will be what God says I can be.”

Charles Capps is a retired farmer, land developer, and Bible teacher who has traveled extensively throughout the United States and several foreign countries sharing the truths of God's Word. He has taught Bible seminars for over 35 years, emphasizing the authority of the believer, faith and the power of words.
Charles and Peggy both have their roots in the rich farmland of Lonoke County, Arkansas. Having been raised by parents who were farmers, Charles began farming cotton, soybeans, and rice immediately after graduating from high school and marrying in 1951.
Peggy, being 3 1/2 months older than Charles had to sign as the adult on his behalf when he wanted to begin flying lessons at the age of 17. They joined an organization known as the Flying Farmers and gained experience going to "fly-ins" and national meetings across the United States. Neither knew that this skill of flying would be such an asset later when Charles began teaching personal evangelism in the 1960's. He spoke on the subject of soulwinning in churches not only in the US, but flew his twin engine Piper Comanche to the Bahamas to teach students of Youth With a Mission how to share Christ with others.
After reading a book by Kenneth E. Hagin entitled, "Authority of the Believer", Charles and Peggy's life took on a new dimension of travel and ministry as Charles became known for his teaching gift and insight on the subjects of faith and confession. Invitations to minister to the Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship International (FGBMFI) began to pour in, eventually leading to the publication of his teachings in book form. "The Tongue a Creative Force" and "God's Creative Power(r) Will Work for You" became bestsellers after Buddy Harrison, Kenneth Hagin's son in law, launched his publishing company with these two classics. These two books have sold millions (the God's Creative Power(r) series has sold over 5 million copies) and are still much in demand today.
We celebrated Charles' promotion to heaven at 5:15 pm Sunday, February 23, 2014. He informed the family and close friends on Friday that he would be going home to heaven in 3 days. After having some final words with family and friends on Saturday, he went to bed, went to sleep and never awoke. (He kept saying, "I want to go in my sleep.") His wife and daughters had the privilege of being with him as he finally got that glorified body he always talked about. Charles Capps was a man of integrity, a man of his word and he got what he said. He called those things that be not as though they were.
Charles Capps broadcast called, "Concepts of Faith", continues a daily national radio broadcast and a weekly television broadcast aired over several networks, satellite, and the internet. Click on the Radio or TV link to find the broadcast in your area.
Peggy continues to reside in Arkansas. Both Charles' and Peggy's daughters, Annette and Beverly are involved in the ministry.
