The Exodus from Egypt brought Israel into a new life of God’s grace and fellowship. They walked out of Egypt with good health, ample provision, and the wealth of the Egyptian people. God had not only delivered them; He had also positioned them to succeed.
The power of that event has become the picture of deliverance for every man, woman, and child throughout the course of human history. Jesus became the Passover Lamb, sacrificed for every person’s deliverance.
Now Jesus’ sacrifice applied to the doorposts of our heart will bring the power of the Passover to us. There is protection from danger and death in the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 10:22 gives us confidence that we can receive all the protection and provision that God provides: “Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water” (NKJV). Because Jesus’ blood was sprinkled for our deliverance from sin, we now have confidence in God that we are delivered, spirit, soul, and body, from the grip of our enemy, the devil.
Satan cannot cross the line of the blood sacrifice of Jesus. That divine line puts an end to the works of darkness. When we accept Jesus’ sacrifice and embrace His life, we have walked out of bondage and stepped across that blood line into a new life in God. There we take on a new identity as one of God’s special and holy people. We have been separated from the spirit of the world and come under the cover of the Spirit of God.
The Passover Lamb has become the mighty Lion of the tribe of Judah. He has risen to the highest place of power, and He has set us free to stand with Him confident and secure.
God has promised to deliver us from the attacks of our enemy and has given us supernatural peace and security. When He is on our side, we never have to fear what our enemies can do to us.
From Satan’s point of view, we have become untouchable, as long as we keep our soul washed by the water of God’s Word. As First John 5:18 in the Message Bible states: “
We know that none of the God-begotten makes a practice of sin ? fatal sin. The God-begotten are also the God-protected. The Evil One can’t lay a hand on them.
We are untouchable and God-protected. Satan cannot lay a hand on us. From God’s point of view, we are covered with His love and His light because Jesus’ blood has cleansed us. We are protected by the blood on the doorposts of our life. We can walk out of any bondage, just as Israel walked out of Egypt, and we can walk into a life full of His protection and provision. The Lamb of God has brought us under the umbrella of His protection, cleansed our heart, and given us the strength to overcome any strategy of the devil.
The wicked one has no right to touch us, our family, our health, our money, or our life. We have been bought with the price of Jesus’ own blood. So we must take our stand in that place of divine protection by faith in His sacrifice, and become one of God’s untouchables in the eyes of our enemy!
