We Are God’s Building

by Tim Davidson | A Verse A Day

“In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto a holy temple in the Lord.”

(Eph. 2:21)

We are God’s building. We are God’s dwelling place. All believers are building blocks in God’s great house. He uniquely designs each of us to fulfill the ideal purpose that will best suit His ultimate plan. Even if we don’t see it yet, He has designed us for significance.

The Message Bible says: “That holds all the parts together. We see it taking shape day after day—a holy temple built by God.”

Jesus is the one who holds the building parts together and causes it to grow into a holy temple for the Lord. In Him all of us, as parts of the building, are shaped and fit together by His hand. We are all perfectly joined together into His holy sanctuary according to His will. As the hand of God shapes and molds us, we take our place in building His kingdom.

Today’s Thought to Take With You:

I am being shaped by Jesus and fit together with all other believers. I serve God by doing my part.
