What Happened After Adam and Eve Left the Garden of Eden?

by Joseph Cameneti | Uncategorized

Did God walk and talk with Adam and Eve after they sinned and ate the forbidden fruit?

We know that God would not permit Adam and Eve back into the Garden of Eden after they sinned, but He did continue to speak and fellowship with them and their descendants. Here are some verses that disclose this truth:

Then Cain went out from the presence of the LORD and dwelt in the land of Nod on the east of Eden.
(Gen. 4:16)

Enoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Methuselah. After he begot Methuselah, Enoch walked with God three hundred years, and begot sons and daughters.

So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.
(Gen. 5:21-24)

It seems that God, I believe it was through the presence of Jesus, walked, talked and fellowshipped with men after the fall of Adam.

People often ask me why God didn’t accept Cain’s offering of garden vegetables, but He accepted Abel’s animal offering. The only explanation is that God had to teach them how to serve Him and what He expected of them. Cain had to know the right way or God would be at fault.

Enoch is another great example of one’s relationship with God. He enjoyed a privilege that every person of that day could have had: walking or fellowshipping with God.

Today we can’t actually walk with God physically, but we can have a relationship with Him through His Son Jesus.
