What If Nothing Changes?

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!
(Phil. 4:4)

Today’s Confession: God is moving on my behalf. My due season is coming. Thank You, Father, for bringing it to pass in my life.

Too many times we get focused on what we think God’s not doing. “Where is the money? Where’s my healing? When will my needs be met?” If you focus on what you think God’s not doing, then you’re focused on what the devil is doing. God wants you to focus on what He is doing.

You may be feeling, “Well, I don’t see anything happening.” However, that doesn’t mean that God’s not doing anything. God’s working on your behalf. God is doing something right now behind the scenes that you can’t even see. He’s causing your due season to come to pass.

It’s possible that before you go to bed tonight, your due season could come. “What if it doesn’t?” Then get up tomorrow and trust God. “What if it doesn’t come tomorrow?” Trust Him all the next day. “What if it doesn’t come in a week?” Keep on trusting God. What else can you do? You’ve already tried everything else. You have nothing to lose by trusting God. You have everything to gain.

If you’re really trusting God, then it’s time for you to shout and praise Him. That’s what Paul meant when he said, “Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice” (Philippians 4:4).

I found out the word rejoice means to shout and be vocal, but that’s not all there is to rejoicing. Rejoice also means to brighten up, to spin around, and to leap. When you’re under the greatest pressure, you should walk around the office or in your house, and put the biggest smile on your face, spin around, and leap for joy. Soon everyone around you will get the hint, “He’s under a lot of pressure “look at him.” But then you’ll come back rejoicing with the victory report.

The thought that motivates me is that my due season could come at any moment. You never know when it’s going to show up. That’s enough reason to keep standing. I would hate to think that I gave up and due season was about to manifest in the next few moments!

How many times do you suppose the angels were just about to deliver your “goods” and you got discouraged and gave up? I don’t like that thought.

You’re blessed when you’re at the end of your rope. With less of you there is more of God and His rule. You’re blessed when you feel you’ve lost what is most dear to you. Only then can you be embraced by the One most dear to you. You are blessed when you are content with just who you are; no more, no less. That’s the moment you find yourselves proud owners of everything that can’t be bought.

Dr. Jerry Savelle was an average, blue-collar man who was struggling and needed God's help. While he considered himself a "nobody," when he became a believer God told him not to worry about it because He was a master at making champions out of nobodies. God has since taken Dr. Savelle from being a constant quitter to a man who knows how to stand on the Word of God until victory is experienced. Because of the life-changing combination of God's faithfulness and Dr. Savelle's "no quit" attitude, his life is totally different than it was thirty-eight years ago.

Since 1969, Dr. Savelle traveled the world teaching people how to win in life. Dr. Savelle ministered in more than three thousand churches and in twenty-six nations, and has overseas offices in the United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada.

God used Dr. Savelle to impact people who are burned out on religion and who have backslidden in their walk with God, as well as Christians who have a need to hear the Word of God presented in terms applicable to their lives, dreams, and destinies. He hosted the Jerry Savelle Ministries television broadcast which airs in two hundred countries worldwide.

Dr. Savelle authored more than forty books, including his bestsellers, If Satan Can't Steal Your Joy, He Can't Keep Your Goods and You're Somebody Special to God. He served as one of the founding Pastors of Heritage of Faith Christian Center in Crowley, Texas.
