“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him” (Rom. 5:8-9).
The scripture says, “We shall.” That means there’s no way we won’t be.
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.”
(Rom. 3:23-26)
Verse 25 says, “Whom God set forth as a propitiation.” Propitiation is another word for substitute. I don’t know why the word “propitiation” is used instead of “substitute” because propitiation is not a word we use much in our English language. The scripture says God sent Jesus as a substitute.
I am so glad Jesus was my substitute because He was without sin. Because He died, I don’t have to die spiritually. Because He took stripes on His body for my healing, I can be healed. In 2 Corinthians 8:9 it says, “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He [Jesus] was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.”
Because He became poor, I can be rich. That is exactly what the Word of God says. Isn’t that a loving God? Jesus became our substitute. He died so we can live. It only requires that we have faith in the blood and He will become our substitute.
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law by His blood. Ephesians 1:7 says, “In Him [Jesus] we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins….” Without His blood there is no forgiveness of sins. Life is in the blood.
Your blood is what carries the life that’s within you. That’s why the devil attacks through the blood. If you have a disease, the doctor will test your blood to see what disease is in it.
People with diabetes have to check their sugar levels. What do they check? They check their blood. When doctors are checking people for AIDS, they check their blood. Where is your life? The scripture says it is in the blood. If you have pure blood, you are going to be healthy because your life is in your blood.
Let me tell you something. Jesus was perfect—physically, spiritually, and mentally. That is why the shedding of His blood was the perfect sacrifice.
As you understand the concept of the power of the blood, miracles will take place because there is protection in the blood of Jesus.
You do not have to allow the devil to come in. You can stand face to face with him until he moves. You do not have to put up with sickness, disease, accidents or poverty. The power of Jesus’ blood is here for you today!
