(Phil. 4:6 NASB)
In the light of all the pressures and concerns we face in living our lives in this world, this is an amazing statement. Stop being anxious about anything. Have no cares and never worry about anything. How can we possibly do that? We must remember to do the rest of this verse or we don't have a chance.
The Message Bible says: Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns.
Don't worry, but pray about everything. With thankful hearts we are to offer up our prayers and requests to God. By getting God involved in our daily living agenda we can relax and smell the roses. We will still feel the pressure at times but we will know what to do about it. We will talk to God. That beats worrying.
I refuse to worry about anything, but with thanksgiving I let my requests be known to God.
