Fear not.
Why not? God loves you. He made a covenant with you, and He promised to always be with you. The words "fear not" are repeated time and time again in the Word of God. The Father is saying to you, "fear not; I am with you. Fear not; I will protect you. Fear not; I am on your side."
The reason that there should be no fear here is because Jesus is here. He is with you always even unto the end of the age. He will never leave or forsake you. He is with you all the time. Then notice this. He is not just with you, but He is there to go to work on your behalf.
The next thing the Father tells them is, "...be not dismayed." We sometimes get discouraged. That means we get dismayed. But God is saying there is no need to be dismayed.
Discouragement is connected to fear. If a person is dismayed then they fear that they won't get their prayer answered. But God said don't be dismayed because He is your God. He will strengthen you, "...yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."
What is the right hand of His righteousness? It is the Son of Love, Jesus, Himself. He is the right hand of God. Jesus has already handled the enemy for you. He will remove any burden or yoke that comes up against anybody who walks in faith.
The scripture tells us that God is holding your hand and telling you, "Fear not; I will help you." Now we are not talking about just anybody helping us. We are talking about the One who created the universe. He is the One who will help you in any area in which you have fear. Therefore, you need not have fear any longer, because there is no situation that He cannot help you overcome. Whatever the situation is, God is greater.
So, fear not, because greater is He that is in you than any situation you face. Greater is He that is in you than any circumstance in your life. God is greater and He is right there with you to help you and uphold you, because He loves you so much.
